This treatment is required for correct positioning of mal-aligned teeth.

Types of braces:

• Metal Braces:Made up of stainless steel.

• Ceramic Braces:Aesthetically more acceptable since these are tooth colored.

• Lingual Braces:These are metal braces but fitted in back of the teeth.

• Invisalign:Customized removable appliance which are very comfortable.

 

We, usually, advice the patient to start the treatment around 10-12 yrs of age during the growth phase of the children to achieve best and faster results.

Phases involved in Braces Treatment:

• Fixing of braces on the teeth.

• Regular follow-ups every month involving tightening and change of wires and brackets.

• After completion of the treatment giving retention either by retention plates or fixed retainers.
